5th and 6th Grade Art

All the students are now working on the backgrounds for their warm/cool grid object project. The 7th and 8th grade students sorted all the color pencil sets, so the 5th and 6th grade artist had to prove they knew the difference between the warm and cool colors in the 48 pencil set. I am expecting this to be the final week for this project, but may extend the project for one more session to give everyone ample time to complete their work. This project is a clear indicator for more advanced understanding of color theory, control of the material, shading and pattern making.
